On the third day of his US visit, PM Modi’s itinerary is filled with high-profile engagements. The day kicked off with a luncheon at the US State Department, where he addressed the vibrant Indian diaspora residing in Washington.

The event witnessed the presence of renowned figures such as Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft; Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google; Sunita Williams, NASA astronaut; Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group; Mukesh Ambani, Chairman & MD of Reliance Industries; Nikhil Kamath, Co-Founder of Zerodha & True Beacon; and many others. The Prime Minister’s interactions extended further as he engaged in discussions with prominent US officials during a lunch at the State Department, joined by Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Concluding his visit, Prime Minister Modi will deliver an address to the Indian community, marking the end of a productive and eventful stay in the United States.

Commenting on the significance of Modi’s visit, William Blair, Vice-President of Lockheed Martin India, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Prime Minister Modi’s visit is truly historic. This visit is going to take our relationship to the next level… We already have two joint ventures with TATA in India for over a decade now. We are engaged in supply chains with hundreds of suppliers, and we have already exported nearly $650 million worth of defense products from India to the US.”

A special moment occurred when US President Joe Biden presented PM Narendra Modi with a T-Shirt adorned with a quote on AI from the Prime Minister himself. The quote, “In the past few years, there have been many advances in AI- Artificial Intelligence. At the same time, there has been even more momentous development in another AI- America and India,” was spoken by PM Modi during his joint address to the US Congress on June 22nd.

During the India-US Hi-Tech Handshake event at the White House, President Biden emphasized the exceptional level of innovation and cooperation between the two countries, stating, “Our countries are taking innovation and cooperation to a new level.”

Later, Prime Minister Modi will have the opportunity to address influential business leaders at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, further strengthening ties between India and the United States.

In continuation of his discussions with top US officials, PM Modi will engage in further talks during a lunch at the State Department, where he will be joined by Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
